Fitness classes and activities abound at Lincoln Racquet Club! We have something for everyone. What class is best for you? First, start by evaluating your fitness goals. Are you trying to lose weight or maintain? Are you wanting to tone up or build stamina? Second, you will want to do something that fits you personally and you are comfortable with. Do you like groups or do you like to workout alone?

Our Classes:

BODYSTEP™ – the energizing step workout that makes you feel liberated and alive. Using a height-adjustable step and simple movements on, over and around the step you get huge motivation from sing-a-long music and approachable instructors. Cardio blocks push fat burning systems into high gear followed by muscle conditioning tracks that shape and tone your body. Like all the LES MILLS™ programs, a new BODYSTEP™ class is released every three months with new music and choreography.

BODYFLOW™ – the Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centered and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance. Like all the LES MILLS™ programs, a new BODYFLOW™ class is released every three months with new music and choreography

BODYPUMP™ – the original LES MILLS™ barbell class, will sculpt, tone and strengthen your entire body, fast! Great bodies aren’t born, they are transformed, using the proven BODYPUMP™ formula. Focusing on low weight loads and high repetition movements, you’ll burn fat, gain strength and quickly produce lean body muscle conditioning. BODYPUMP™ is one of the world’s fastest ways to get in shape as it challenges all of your major muscle groups while you squat, press, lift and curl.The cutting-edge BODYPUMP™ choreography, and chart-topping music is refreshed every three months, so with your choice of weight and highly-trained instructors you can get the group effect and the results you’ve been looking for!

Core XT – Core XT is a 30 minute class designed to work the core, 360 degree shoulder to hip, using a variety of exercises. This is not just an abs class, but a class to improve stability, balance & overall athletic performance. All levels welcome.

Functional Strength/Circuit – a cardio and strength workout, incorporating strength training that will challenge every muscle group.

Functional Strength – uses a variety of exercises and techniques to strengthen the entire body. We will incorporate functional strength training, this method of training focuses and trains movements, not specific isolated muscles.

H.I.T. – based on Krav Maga which is the official self defense and fighting system of the Israeli Military forces and many US law enforcement groups. It is 45 minutes of punches, kicks, blocks, conditioning and fun! This class is a fantastic high enery workout. If this is your first class, please come to class 15 minutes early for a brief orientation.

Just Abs – 15 minutes of intensive abdominal and core work.

Kickboxing – add variety to your exercise program. This class includes a great cardio workout, kickboxing drills, and use of punching bags. Gloves or wraps must be worn in this class. (We have a loaner pair of wraps for first time use.) Come join the fun! Please sign up at the front desk.

Pilates Lite – a mat class focusing on core strength, flexibility, and endurance. This “lite” class is geared toward the non-athlete or older individuals. Level 1- for those with no prior Pilates experience. Level 2 – for those ready for more intermediate level excercises. Please sign up at the front desk.

Step Circuit w/Abs – a 3:1 ratio – three minutes of Step with one minute of muscle conditioning while stepping on and off the Step platform.

The Step – a cardio workout done on a platform built to a height for your fitness level. By stepping up and down off the platform you build and use your cardiovascular system while strengthening and toning your upper and lower body.

Toning: Hardcore – Tone up your tummy and back with our easy to follow abdominal exercise sequences. BLT- Butt, Legs & Thighs – Come shape up those Butts, Legs and Thighs in our lower body toning class. Suns Out Guns Out – An upper body workout that tones the arms, shoulders and abdomen. Resulting in toned arms and a beach ready body.

Weight Room Circuit – makes use of the free weight equipment. Between strength training sets, we will jog or walk three laps on the track. This is great workout!

Zumba – fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away. Experience an absolute blast in one hour of calorie-burning, body-energizing movements meant to engage and captivate for life!

Group fitness instructors are subject to change without notice.

All instructors are certified and/or trained, and care about the quality and safety of your workout. All instructors are current with CPR.

Athletic shoes are required for safety purposes. Equipment needed for classes is provided, except for kickboxing gloves. Minimum age to attend classes is 12 years of age. Children under age 12 are not allowed in the Group Fitness Studios.

All scheduled classes are continued subject to class attendance. Any class that averages less than six participants may be dropped from the schedule.
