Class Descriptions
Aqua Pilates is designed to use waters natural resistance to increase the body's full range of motion while stabilizing the core muscles.  Set in the healing environment of water, the workout facilitates increased flexibility while challenging individuals to maintain core stabilization, postural alignment and balance.

Aqua Cardo is a 45 minute class with a variety of workouts including interval training and circuits (a combination of cardio and muscular strength training).

Aqua Arthritis is designed and taught by a certified instructor following the guidelines of the Arthritis Foundation.  Walking, joint specific exercises and stretching is done at the participants own pace.  This is an excellent class for beginners, persons with fibromyalgia or persons needing exercise after surgery.

Aqua Cardio and Conditioning is a 60 minute class that will improve the cardiovascular system, increase muscular endurance and balance using different intensity levels and training methods.  A great way to  crosstrain!

Aquanautics is a specialized class held 4 times per month.  Participants wear a flotation belt to suspend them in water.  This challenges core muscles in different ways.  It also invovles specific muscle conditioning and cardiovascular exercise.

LRC Swim Conditioning is a Fall, Winter and Spring Aquatic Conditioning for ages 7 and up who have completed Level 5 swim lessons or can demonstrate equivalent skills.  This includes front crawl with breathing, back crawl, breaststroke, sidestroke and beginning butterfly.
A coach is on deck to take the swimmers through their workout in this non-competitive environment.

Strength Conditioning is where you can work on strengthening and stretching all major muscle groups, using water-resistance principles and our strength equipment.  A great way to build lean body mass, while improving your flexibility, coordination and balance.

Swim Team is our 6 week summer program where kids can join the team if they have completed Level 5 in the LRC swim program.  We have practices each morning with swim meets on Monday nights.  Register at the front desk.
